Story
Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, also known as Golden Rock, is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Burma. It is a small “stupa” just over 7m high built on top of a granite boulder covered with numerous layers of gold leaves attacked by devotees. According to legend, the rock is found in a precarious balance above a lock of Buddha’s hair.
