Story
In August 2019 the Indian government revoked the special status accorded to Kashmir in its constitution and the whole region was put into lockdown. I was in the chaotic city of Kargil when the Indian government cut off computer and telephone communications and transport to and from Kashmir, so I remained isolated for a few days. I was wandering through the streets of Kargil looking for a telephone line, when I came across these two sisters playing in an alley. When they saw me they stopped, hugged each other and spontaneously posed.
