Story
The Omo valley is unique, because it presents an extraordinary concentration of different ethnic groups in a rather limited
territory. The Hamer tribe lives on agriculture and breeding, preserving its cultural traditions. An important and characteristic
celebration is the bull jumping ceremony: a real rite of passage into adulthood for the Hamer boys. From 15 to 30 bulls are
arranged side by side and each boy must jump back to back to get to the end of the row and go back for three consecutive
times. I photographed this boy in concentration, before carrying out the test to enter into adulthood.
